Random baseball thoughts
All of the "Joe Mauer in the Hall of Fame" talk might have to stop for a while as the Twins catcher will be out three weeks because of arthoscopic surgery on his knee. I never heard as much "this guy is destined to be a Hall of Famer" talk for a baseball player after 10 at-bats in my life.

Jim Powell on the Brewers' radio broadcast just said that "all the tweaking they've done with Matt Kinney has been between the ears". You have to know what Matt Kinney looks like to find the humor in that.

How great is it that the Yankees are 1-2 overall, and all three games have been against Tampa Bay?

Earlier this morning Jim Rome said this on his show...
"The Brewers are 2-0 and in first place, somebody better cut that out of the paper and save it"
...They only have to hold on for 160 more games.

Detroit is 2-0...Yes, read that again. I'm willing to take bets that they'll lose 100 of their next 160.

How is Cal Eldred still in the Major Leagues?

Lee Mazilli looked so bored when he was managing his team on ESPN Sunday night. Every time they showed him he was looking up in the air or looking down at the ground. You think he'd be a little more in to it for his first MLB game as a manager.
